Below is the weekend agenda and list of steps for a successful Invitational. If you have any questions, please reach out anytime.

Step 1: Plan for a long weekend of travel and fun

  • Plan ahead. The San Juan Islands are a popular summer destination. Hotels, Airbnb/VRBO, Car Rentals, Ferries, and Flights all book out very early.

  • Buddy up. You can save a lot of time and money by connecting with fellow Invitees when booking accommodations and transportation.

  • See what else is out there. There are numerous other activities in the region (Whale watching, kayaking, wine tasting, local farms, etc) to enjoy before/after the event.

  • Don’t forget: Clubs, Comfortable shoes, Golf bag with shoulder strap, Water bottle, and Sunscreen.

  • Multiple Airlines offer early morning flights from the West Coast that arrive before 8:30 (Alaska, Delta, Hawaiian, United)

  • If you can’t make it in before 8:30am, it’s strongly recommended you fly in the night before. Anytime after 8:30am, we’ll potentially miss the Friday afternoon ferry and not make our Friday tee time.

Step 2: Arrive @ SeaTac International Airport by Friday, August 15th @ 8:30am

Step 3: Arrive @ Orcas Island for our Meet and Greet by Friday, August 15th @ 4:30pm

Option 1: FLY to Orcas

Flying is the fastest (50min) and most fun. You can either take a wheeled plan from Boeing Field or a float plane from Lake Union in downtown Seattle. (Float planes will require pick up and drop off to Eastsound) It’s very inconvenient to be on-island without a car so it’s highly recommended to rent a car on-island or find someone to ride with.

***If you choose to fly, please arrive at Sea-Tac by 8:30am, Friday 8/15 to drop golf bags and oversized luggage. Kenmore cannot accommodate golf clubs and have limited luggage size/weight requirements. Kenmore Luggage Rules here.

Option 2: DRIVE to Orcas

Driving provides the most flexibility if you want to explore Orcas or any of the other islands.

Make a ferry reservation well in advance as they book VERY quickly. It’s a 2hr drive to Anacortes followed by a 1hr wait and 1hr ferry ride.

***REAL IDs take effect May 7, 2025 and you must bring your Passport if you want to go to Canada.
